A Spring morning view from 'the office'

News

We generate our website news page content by capturing a feed summary from our Blog. Click on a headline (below) to read the following stories in full – blog links open a new browser tab/window.

NB: The feed we're using here excludes advertising (RSS ad's are a growing trend which are beyond our control). There is a monthly fee involved in ad' exclusion which can cost from as little as a few £s per month – please ask for more information. We've left ad's enabled on our Blog for comparison.

RSS (icon) Really simple website news feeds

Our news items (left) are generated in our 'Blog' and displayed here using a readily available application called an RSS feed – RSS by the way stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'. Maintaining a blog extends your online presence and integrating it into your website enables you to keep your visitors up-to-date for a fraction of the cost and complexity of a website Content Management System (CMS). RSS further allows followers to receive notifications of your latest news updates via RSS Readers such as Google Reader on a computer or enabled mobile device.

A 'tweet' may only consist of a maximum of 140 characters but you can say a lot with a few well-chosen words! 'Tweets' can easily be integrated into your website and to demonstrate we're using a Twitter feed to generate the quote which appears below. You could be using this feature to provide instant news updates and comments on both Twitter and on your website.

Facebook (icon) Facebook

Our regulary updated Facebook business page features news, photos and examples of our work. Just one example of how online social networking can be used for business. Unfortunately Facebook make too many changes to the way they do things for us to be able to recommend a reliable 'Facebook feed' feature for websites.
